Anhad means something like The unplayed sound, the otherworldly sound, the unheard, the essence of the sound stream Naad.

The sound of Prof. Surinder Singh's CD Anhad is a bit richer and more elaborate than on his monumental masterpiece Mere Mun. It is the first CD ever to feature all six instruments invented, promoted and played by the Sikh Saints of historical times.
