Tarn Taran Singh himself says about the album Life Embraced:

"It's been more than six years since my last album, so I wanted to do something different. As usual, there are three new mantras to start with - simple melodies with melodic instrumentation. Sit back and relax, or sit up and meditate. Sing along, or just listen, the mantras will calm and uplift your mind.

As I thought about how you enjoy the mantras, I realized that there are so many beautiful mantra voices to choose from these days (and if you like my style, I already have other albums to choose from too). So this time I'm doing it a little differently and releasing some of the songs I've written over the years. They are expressions of how I have personally experienced some of the deepest human feelings while traveling the Dharmic path.

'The Blues Come Easy' when the pain and suffering of the world seems overwhelming. Then in turn, your emotions can soar in joy and fascination as you awaken the Kundalini energy at the base of the spine: 'Kundalini Curled Up'.
And you can overcome the bitter sweetness of journeying through time and constant change: 'Life Embraced' when you realize that you are always one in your being with the infinite, unchanging One.

The last track, Guru Ram Das, was hidden in a corner of my hard drive for many years. It's a keyboard, two guitars and three guys sitting around a microphone in an old basement not far from the Coliseum in Rome, chanting the Guru Ram Das mantra. There was only one take and it's a little rough and angular, but I love it. This piece showcases the musical talents of Saribjit Singh and Jiwan Singh and the rich harmony of their male voices. This track is precious to me as a manifestation of our musical and spiritual embrace. Although it only captures a moment in time, when I hear it, it sweeps me into the eternity of the moment.

The cover of this album is also a little different than before - it now has a photo of me on it - and I admit I like it. This was due to my daughter's insistence (thanks, Madhur Nain!). The cover photo was taken in China, the back cover in Rome, and the center one in Mexico.

That's it. I enjoyed the making of this album. I hope you will enjoy the result too!"
