One Prayer - Pritpal Singh Khalsa complete

Pritpal Singh has been active as a musician since 1975 - he was one of the first to professionally record and offer wonderful mantra and shabad music in the early to mid-1980s. His music was the first ever available on CD - with the CDs "Prayer for the Golden Temple" and "Heralds of Vicory" (both CDs are also available from us!). Based on his well-founded study of classical Indian Raaga music and from his own experience of the Naad (the sacred sound current and its effects on human consciousness), Pritpal Singh now convinces here after years with a completely new, fresh music in the field of mantras and sacred music .

There are Indian instruments on this album as well as an ingenious, unorthopdox mixture of western and native American instruments. The music includes three mantras and three selected Gurbani Shabads. Both create a powerful sound current - the "Naad" - the transformative power of sacred sound. When listening or singing along, you immediately feel inspired, caressed by the beautiful melodies and supported by powerful percussion.

The heart of this music is clearly carried by Pritpal Singh's extraordinary voice, which is both smooth, rich, warm and powerful. It lets you immerse yourself in a feeling of security, relaxation and calm. Accompanied by flowing, female background vocals, the music contains moments of grandiose harmony and catchy, stirring melodies. One Prayer featured an innovative instrumental ensemble consisting of harmonium, slide guitar, mandolin, esraj, saxophone and tablas. Some of the pieces will take you deeper into your meditation, while others will encourage you to move or dance.
