Maya Fiennes, born in Macedonia, has lived in London since 1990, where she continued her studies in classical piano, among other things, and demonstrated her virtuoso skills at such illustrious events as UN meetings or in front of members of the royal family.
Her new album "Maya Space" is a successful combination of (kundalini) yoga mantras and wonderful, contemporary music, in which she brings together both classical and modern components in an ingenious way. A highlight is the cover version of the Beatles hit "Across The Universe" - but the other pieces are always versatile and bursting with musical sophistication. There's a master at work here, and the music is perfectly produced and supported by a whole host of professionals.
Another highlight is the participation of Deepak Chopra, who recites the poem "Beloved" by Rumi in the piece "Ra Ma DA SA".
