Sat Purkh Kaur's album Queen Be celebrates the goddess within all of us, so that she may serve us and we may continue to grow and serve our own identity. From dynamic French horns and drums in Ajai Alai , to quiet tunes like the Maha Goddess Mantra , the stirring sounds of the bagpipes in Mangala Saaj Bha-i-aa , to the Afro pop beat in Say Saraswati , Sat Purkh Kaur combines on their album Queen Be a musical spectrum that ranges from West Africa to the Scottish Highlands and American jazz.

Every single track on Queen Be takes you on a journey around the world and back. Taking musical influences from different traditions, Sat Purkh Kaur on Queen Be reflects the colorful diversity of our global community.

Sat Purkh Kaur says about her album Queen Be herself:

“As a Kundalini Yogini, I've wanted to record some of these mantras for years, mainly because I was looking for a sound that matched my own practice. I wanted Ajai Alai to be energizing, expressing the power and courage I experienced from Guru Gobind Singh (the 10th Sikh Guru). With its powerful 6/4 rhythm, Ajai Alai opens lyrically, then carries you away on drums of battle. Meditate or practice Gatka with this track and awaken the spiritual warrior in you!
The kora and calabasse on Say Saraswati coupled with the bass's afro pop beat will transport you to the shores of Mother Africa. This has long been one of my favorite mantras - and with this version we, together, celebrate the sweetness and simplicity of a woman's steadfast and primal heartbeat.
In Jai Ma! we celebrate the Ma in four different traditions, in conjunction with our own Kundalini Yoga Bhakti Mantra: Adi Shakti . Remastered as a new version for this album, we've included a cello to support the sound throughout, as well as new vocals to celebrate the Holy Mother's creativity and healing power – and this is particularly well seen in the human voice!”
